In case anyone finds it helpful because mobility aids are horrifically expensive and inaccessible…
And for those people who have access to mobility devices but might benefit from a second chair they can abuse without risking expensive damage…
Erik Kondo has made a website, Open Source Innovations, that details plans for DIY wheelchairs. These wheelchairs can be made from common materials like wood, plastic, and pvc. They are lightweight and can be custom fit to the user allowing from the same degree of movement you would get from a custom chair. And they are durable and easily repairable. (he has been stress testing his latest design by dropping it down stairs, dropping it out of a car, launching it across a driveway, and throwing it off a deck). Its 12lbs and I think he said its was in the $200 ish range for parts.
He also is working on cheap, open source, accessible designs for beach chairs, off road chairs, motorized attachments (think smart drive), and so on. Plus he skateboards in his wheelchair. Cool dude, helpful info, pass it on.

Though I do have to note that very few people are genuinely thriving in this world and that the idea of the Neurotypical™️ who never struggles and isn't seriously bothered by anything and meets all the milestones and expectations and doesn't stand out in any way is a strawman made to shame us all into conforming with expectations and pretending that things are fine if we are in any way capable of it
you don't "hate kids," you hate being forced into a caretaking role.
you don't "hate kids," you hate censorship passed off as family values.
you don't "hate kids," you hate the constrictiveness of the nuclear family.
you don't "hate kids," you're just not used to occupying fully age diverse spaces so you're not used to the noise or the many different kinds of needs.
you don't "hate kids," most public spaces just aren't built for kids, and so the few kids you see are always uncomfortable and distressed.
you don't "hate kids," you hate the intense social rules assigned to kids and anyone who interacts with kids.
You don't "hate kids," you hate how society reproduces its most restrictive elements and how kids are powerless to resist it.

They tried to make it look like on the surface that the human made machine was the being that was “calling out to Spock’s human blood” but it was actually just Jim.
yeah the joke is funny but it’s actually really sad that people who are struggling can’t be candid about experiencing suicidality without threat of incarceration. and that the role ‘mental health’ professionals play in enforcing state policy is so normalised that everyone in these comments finds it funny. what kind of fucked up system insists that those deemed mentally ill must be subjected to therapy and then can’t even allow those trying to glean whatever small benefits are possible, to be genuine and talk about their real feelings?
also what’s particularly horrible is the self confessed therapist saying that ‘y’all ain’t slick’ as if incarcerating people and subjecting them to state violence is funny. fucking man…
Right so Henry wants to be a writer right? And how he's the first openly queer British royal. WHat if he began researching and writing a comprehensive book about the queer history of British monarchs?!?!?! Like what if that's what he becomes known for. Please somebody make a fic i beg you.
