The Tragedy Of Tumblr Is You Will Inevitably Meet People Who You Should Be Having A Sleepover With. You

the tragedy of tumblr is you will inevitably meet people who you should be having a sleepover with. you should be rolling around on their floor and rummaging through their fridge and watching shitty movies with. you should be shopping with should be going out to a cafe with should be wandering through the aquarium with. people who you should be experiencing quotidian joys with... and you cannot! because they live one million miles away

We don't call it a culture for no reason. Men have devised a perfect system to safeguard each other. They always have and always will find fault in women. Women have always been secondary to them and the pretence of protectiveness and chivalry washes away the moment one of "their own" gets his ass in trouble.

The amount of men that are defending/justifying this barbarism is just absurd.

the fact that the principal of that fucking college never reported this to the police and tried to hide it and show it as a "suicide" case and after the police proved that it was a rape and murder case, bro fuckibg had the AUDACITY to go up and ask ki why was the woman at the hospital that late alone... THE FUCKING AUDACITY OF THIS MAN- and that's not all, he gave up his position of principal on aug 12 and when this asshole should've been interrogated by the police, he was freely allowed to become a principal of a new college js like that? + the same hall being renovated to help the rapists and the police not doing anything abt it???? how can a woman live in this country when not only rapists but the government and even the police go around helping the inhumane instead of protecting the women of this nation? 78th independence day tmrw but kya fayda of a nation where a woman is not secure and protected in her own country? when the mentality of people here is to go "why was she alone that late at night?" and not blaming the rapists and punishing them??? the postmortem report makes me cry, gives me fuckibg chills and I cannot imagine any woman going through anything like that- think of it, she was also her mum's pyaari daughter, her dad's pride, how would have they felt when they saw her daughter bleeding, half naked in a condition they never imagined and not even being allowed to take her body? I fucking hate our system and this js proves it's not js the rapists but our fucking poori society, we failed as a society

AND this is what has happened in india past 2 days and the fact that none of these victims have received justice yet, speaks alot for my hate 4 this system

indian women are in a constant state of vigilance, like a country on terrorist alert. no democracy is a democracy when half its population lives in fear. the paradox is that women have protected men and their families by keeping quiet. this is honourable behaviour, a part of our "honour society. what rape statistics really reflect is a vicious cultural agreement that women have little value. which means in turn that girls must be trained to act as if they do not exist, to minimise their presence to survive, to serve men and not inconvenience them. this is how India treats women. rape culture does not begin with rape. rape is the most extreme form of it. until catcalling, stalking, harassment, groping, spark the same outrage as assault and murder, the problem will persist. it is unbelievable how low men can and have stooped, even after such a gruesome murder
