@chanticle, for jayne. starter call.
"don't grow too accustomed to this," she gingerly sets her pack down by the door. in the morning, they would abandon denerim in pursuit of genitivi & his impossible search for the urn. but they had earned a night in a proper bed, even if that meant her & her sister had to double up. (the cost of things was beginning to appall elethea, or rather, lacking money was beginning to appall her.) and a few rooms at an inn were an alarming price, especially with the unimpressive state of the decor. that such drab accommodations were in the realm of luxury to her, now, was a testament to how very far they had fallen. "though, i'd say - if we find this urn & cure the arl, the least he can do is cover such costs, hm?"

season two. costume details.
i miss my wife. like for a potential little low effort starter from elethea to get the ball rolling
the blight is just elethea manically trying to maintain her coquettecore aesthetic while the world is literally ending

HOLLIDAY GRAINGER AS LUCREZIA BORGIA THE BORGIAS 2.08
do you guys still love me (say yes say yes say yes say yes)
elethea's autistic in the mean, blunt, extreme sense of justice way.
@grewarden. athelstan says: you think iām being stupid.
"i don't think anything," downcast eyes skate away to something more interesting than her brother was presently being; her increasingly filthy nails. idly correcting that specific imperfection, she lifts her brows with cool disinterest. he was being tiring in a moment where she was already wearied. not that she would have softened her words if she had been better rested. it simply wasn't her way. "you are being stupid."
"She was beautiful, sophisticated, and had a free-spirited nature that rejected superstition." ā Pietro Bembo's description of Lucrezia Borgia in a letter, included in the book 'The Life and Times of Lucrezia Borgia' (by Maria Bellonci)
Domina (2021-2023) 1.02: Rise
Elethea only knows how maps work in an Academic sense. She's very good at geography, of course, it's one of the things that was hammered into her, but actually navigating a map in practice during the Blight is something of a pitfall for her. A lot of aspects of applying her academic knowledge into real-life skills are challenging for her.

@thiedas, alistair & elethea. * ādid you do something different with your hair?ā
reflexively, her spine straightens ā a hand going to the aforementioned new hairstyle binding back her golden curls. her self - consciousness possessed no ounce of insecurity; only an acute awareness of his attention. with it comes a small smile, head tipping. "do you like it?" adopting her offhand, flirtatious tone, she angles herself more fully towards him. he would blush, surely, or clear his throat in that nervous manner he had. that's what she was after, anyway. "it seemed the most practical choice, short of chopping it off," because she would sooner die than be inelegant; it had taken rising with the sun to begin the process of braiding her hair & pinning it up. a darkspawn had gotten hold of her loose braid on the road from lothering as they journeyed toward redcliffe & it had proven most distressing. not to mention inconvenient. "though it seems rather plain..."
Something's crawling under your skin...
"That's not meant to look like that."
"Your veins are turning black..."
"You're not meant to be blistering like that..."
"I'm worried about what's wrong with you."
"Something's wrong."
"You don't look right, can I help?"
"Wait - why is that black?"
"It's like you're... rotting. From the inside out."
"You need to bandage that before it gets worse."
"How did this happen to you..?"
"You're diseased or something."
"I can see it, crawling through you..."
"Gods help you now."
"We can't fix this, can we? You're just going to rot away."
"It's fine, I'm sure, it just... keeps crawling through me."
"There's some kind of rot in me."
"I can feel it, squirming into my skin."
"Gods, it's getting worse - I can see the lines crawling up."
"How deep does this go into me? My heart?"
"It's in my eyes now, I think."
"I want to cut it out of me, but I don't think I can."
"It all tastes bad."
"There's something... in me... it's bad... I think..."
"I can see the lines crawling up towards my heart..."

after the fifth kid, everyone in ferelden starts making jokes about how alistair and elethea need to be kept in separate estates, or sleep in different chambers and locked in from the outside.
"On March 15, 1498, according to the reports of the Ferrarese ambassador in Venice, [Lucrezia] gave birth to a boy who was christened Giovanni (Juan), in memory of her beloved brother, the murdered Duke of GandĆa. The official bull declared that the child, delicately described therein as 'the Roman infant' (infans Romanus)." ā The Borgias and their enemies 1431-1519 by Christopher Hibbert
