The latter teen seemed to not be paying any mind to how Miles was constantly taking prolonged ( and blatantly obvious ) glimpses at them , while he was supposed to keep his eyes on the cookbook .

[ Name ] did pay attention to what was on the cookbook , well they truly did try to . But , as they pressed their lips against a thin line : they ultimately snatched the cookbook that Miles was supposed to pay attention , and they threw it towards a window . However , the window didn't even smash from that impact , as the cookbook bounced off from it and fell down to the floor .

Miles flailed his arms about , standing upright , visibly jumpy and awfully confused as to why [ Name ] even decided to do that .

" Uh ━ Why'd you do that for ? " Miles uttered out the question , his eyebrows furrowed with a heavy amount of concern , keeping his peering look onto [ Name ] .

Without a gasp of a breath , [ Name ] rushed about the kitchen and started to gather out random pots , pans , wooden spoons , whisks and plates .

Okay , the whole rushing thing was starting to freak out Miles , a bit .

Nevermind , it was freaking him out , a lot .

[ Name ] was frantically going all over their kitchen , but they came to an abrupt stop , because of Miles grabbing their shoulders and shaking them ferociously . " [ Name ] ! Are you alright ? ━ What are you trying to do ? "

[ Name ] blinked mildly , surprised by the sudden contact , but they gently pushed down Miles' arms and a small laugh left them . " Don't worry yourself , brochacho ! " With that chilled━out comment of endearing reassurance , [ Name ] brought their hands up and smooshed up Miles' cheeks ━ while holding on a drooped look with a dazy smile of relaxation . Miles widened his eyes involuntarily at this action , an anxious smile wobbled onto his face , that said━face of his was starting to slowly grow warm .

" Woah . . . Your face is sooo warm , dude . " [ Name ] stated in a chilled━out and monotone toning of voice , moving their hands back with bewilderment displayed all over their features . Miles grimaced , embarrassment overtaking himself , wavering his arms in a flurry , stumbling a few steps back .

" Oh , me ? Uh ━ Pfft , well . . . It's just , very━very . . . very hot in here ! Can't just be me , right ? " Miles tried to act all nonchalant and lean back on a part of the kitchen counter to act all cool , but he slipped a bit and folded his arms , squeezing up his face with utter disdain .

[ Name ] raised an eyebrow , but quickly shrugged . " Eh . . . Mkay , dude ━ whatever you say . Anywho , we don't need the cookbook : we can do it all by ourselves and be great at this cooking ━ "

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ THEY WEREN'T GREAT AT BAKING WITHOUT THE COOKBOOK . In fact , they weren't even remotely close to managing to bake any cupcakes or cake at all in the course of that day .

Because , now : there was noises of a repetition on freaking out , screaming and running around the kitchen , as a pan was blooming with a fire and smoke emerging from it . Well , only Miles was freaking out and trying to put out the fire quickly with buckets of water .

[ Name ] happened to be the one that was watching the fire with a dazed look , putting on a marshmallow on their fork and holding it near the fire . Their eyes glistened at the flames , but they were immediately tackled down , when the flames were about to start burning them .

[ Name ] let out a pained grunt , landing on their back , still holding onto the fork that had a flaming marshmallow stuck to it . Blinking mildly , their face held a confused look at it being Miles that tackled them down . Once the flames on their marshmallow burned out : [ Name ] took a bite out of it and spoke up to Miles .

" That was a radical tackle , man . Like , something out of a comic or an action movie , dude . But , uh . . . Can you , like get off of me , please ? "

Miles widened his eyes , scrambling back away from [ Name ] and he scratched the back of his neck with a bashful look . On the other hand , [ Name ] stood up and took another bite on their marshmallow , filled a blue cup with tap water and splashed it over the remaining flames .

Miles let out a sigh of relief , rubbing any sweat from his forehead and he stood himself up ( with the help of [ Name ] hoisting him up with their arm ) . The two of them looked at the destruction they both managed to cause , as [ Name ] took another bite into their burnt marshmallow .

" Mmh , these are totally delicious . Wanna try some ? " They nudged Miles , who politely declined .

" No ━ No , thanks . But , shouldn't we clean up this mess , before your auntie and uncle come back home ? "

" Hm , yeah : you're right , dude . What a smart suggestion ! " [ Name ] lifted up their shoulders , as if they had made an airheaded revelation at what Miles said . The corner of their lips upturned into a grin , as they playfully bumped their shoulder into Miles . " Where would I be without my brochacho , huh ? "

" I dunno , brochacho . " Miles countered━back , a grin spreading among his face . And with that , the two of them fell into a bundle of contagious laughter , as they started to get to cleaning up . They were definitely not going to be baking again for a while , now .

But , they got a burnt marshmallow out of it , at least .

“I’m not different. Am I..?” Ash furrowed his brows in confusion, a small frown forming onto his face. He folded his arms in being unsure with him and in discomfort of himself.

Ash let out a solemn sigh, looking at [Name] with a down-ridden look. [Name] placed [his | her | their] paws onto both of Ash’s shoulders and shook them softly to get his attention.

“You’re the cool different, Ash. That’s what I like about you, it isn’t something you should be ashamed of...” [Name] sent the other fox a lop-sided grin in reassurance and Ash couldn’t help, but send [Name] a small smile back in return.

[Name] punched his shoulder lightly in a playful manner and walked off back to [his | her | their] family.

Ash kept staring at where [Name] was before, the smile still on his face. “...[He | She | They] like[s] something about me...?” He murmured to himself.

Jim kept his gaze upon [Name], who seemed to be laughing away with his friends. Leaning against the wall, Jim smiled fondly and kept his dreamed-out gaze at [Name].

He didn’t really know how to go up and ask [Name] to dance with him. Jim only came to this dance to see [Name] in all honesty. His friends were just nudging at him and urging him to go over to [Name].

In this, the boy went into a flustered state and protested in conclusion. As if it was all cliché, the slow music started to play on and everyone was getting a partner to slow-dance with.

[Name] waved to his friends, making his way over to Jim and stood beside him. “...I guess, it’s just you and me here, eh Jim?” [Name] chuckled nervously, slightly grimacing at his own actions and his cheeks flushed up within embarrassment.

“Uh, yeah...” Jim scratched his cheek, looking at the ground nervousness. Oh, gosh: he was getting even more nervous to even ask him. “Uh, [Name]...Would you like to...” Jim trailed on, clearing his throat and felt the warmth on his cheeks growing even more.

[Name] raised a brow in curiosity, smiling in reassurance at Jim.

“Would you like to go and dance with me? I mean, only if you want to-” Jim slowly reached his hand to [Name], glancing away to not show the flustered look he had upon his face.

[Name] widened his eyes in shock, looking at Jim and to his hand. He did this for a while, before clearing his throat and grasped his hand gently. An oncoming eruption of blush radiating onto [Name’s] cheeks. “I’d-I’d love to dance with you, Jim...”

Jim widened his eyes, smiling in response and the two made their way to the dance floor. Their hands slowly connected with each other, their eyes sparkling in awe-struck and wonder. The two smiled fondly at each other and hugged each other, whilst dancing the night away.

‘He looks just like a dream.’ Both of them thought with a loving smile on their faces.

This was sure to be a night to remember.

Sonic was bored.

Yeah, one way to put up some words together. He was just plain bored and-and not even the good type of bored. Sonic zoomed out of his cave, his eyes only rolled back a bit in exaggeration to his boredom and narrowed his eyes.

His mouth was pressed on a thin line, as he swayed his way past some trees and came to a halt quickly. Sonic widened his eyes, stopping to watch in awe.

This was sure to not get him bored at least!

Realising that he needed a place to hide, so that he could continue watching this scene unfold: Sonic rushed into some bushes.

But, luck seemed to have taken a holiday away from him because he managed to make too much noise at this point.

Knuckles trying to confess to you, but ends up using the wrong statements and gets all embarrassed from this.

This is how it might go...

WARNINGS ;; NONE, JUST SOME FLUFF.

Knuckles fumbled around with his gloves in such discomfort, his nose wrinkled in an unamused expression and he let out a deprived sigh.

His companions, Sonic and Tails, had helped to prep him up for what he’d do next. He was quite unsure with himself, as he was still new to the complexions of this peculiar planet, Earth.

Nonetheless, he didn’t want to seem like a coward and back down for this next courageous act. So, as Sonic and Tails whizzed away to go wait by the truck to drive off for ice-cream. They awaited for Knuckles and [Name].

Before the blue blur went off to the truck, he teasingly nudged the red echidna and gestured over to the [Animal Name] that was packing up the baseball gear they had used.

[Name] handed the gear over to Tom and Maddie, as the couple ruffled the [Colour] mobian’s fluff and they grinned in pride. Turning, they were immediately faced with Knuckles’ face and they let out a shocked yell at this.

Stumbling backwards on their own feet, Knuckles widened his eyes in an apologetic manner. “My apologies, [Animal Name]. I merely wanted to, uh, tell you something.”

[Name] woozily nodded, adjusting their baseball cap that Tom had given to them and they leaned against the post-board in curiosity. “It’s, uh, fine. What is it you wanted to tell me?”

“Well, uh...” Knuckles trailed off, looking at his gloves and found that whatever he wrote on them was smudge up. A frown slipped onto himself from this, as he didn’t know what to say now. But, he recalled some comments from the main part of Green Hills that could help him out with this situation.

“Will you marry me, [Name]?”

The [Animal Name] widened their eyes in shock, coughing on the air and shook their head to steady themselves, since they almost tripped up on their own two feet. “Excuse me, what--?”

“Wrong line, Knux!” Sonic yelled out, cupping his hands to his mouth from where he was at from the back of the truck.

[Name] furrowed their invisible brows, glancing over to the echidna, who seemed to be shuffling about to try think up on what to say.

“What I am meaning to say is: Happy Birthday-- Wait, uh, Merry Christmas!--” The echidna rambled on what seemed to be utter nonsense, growing frustrated and quickly flustered from how much of a mess he was being in front of [Name].

“Remember, just how we practiced it, Knuckles!” Tails chorused out, managing to stop the echidna from further embarrassing himself.

Knuckles sent the fox and the hedgehog, both firm nods and faced the confused [Animal Name]. Mustering up all his courage, Knuckles curled his hands into fists with determination.

“We’ve had quite a journey, dear [Name]. Meeting you was quite interesting from then onwards. And, even though we’ve had our ups and downs, this has all made me realise something.”

“What’s it made you realise, Knuckles?” [Name] pushed themselves off from the post-board, staring at the red echidna with such an intent look of interest and curiosity. Knuckles noticed them taking a few steps towards him, as he took a few steps back himself.

“Well, uh, I have realised that I--” He paused for a moment, it seemed like he was second-guessing himself. But, he took in a deep breath and spluttered out his next words. 

“I have realised, that I have fallen for you, [Name] the [Animal Name].”

"I mean, yeah. But, the villains are often misunderstood sometimes. I-I mean, I sympathise them, but that doesn't cover up the fact that they did horrible things. But, yeah I-I agree with you Caroline."

“We’re like, super lucky that certain superheroes turned out to be good guys. Could you imagine if Superman or Captain Marvel or someone like that was a bad guy? They couldn’t be stopped.”

You Teaching Eggs Stuff on the ‘Upper World’ [Eggs x Gender Neutral! Reader]

“What’s that?” Eggs questioned in a curious manner, his brows furrowed and pointed at the object.

[Name] let out an audible sigh, shaking [his | her | their] head. “That’s a music disc, Eggs...How did you forget so quickly?-”

“It’s not my fault that this place is weird!” Eggs defended, crossing his arms and puffed his cheeks in slight embarrassment.

The two had been going at this for a while. It went with Eggs asking what a certain object was, [Name] explaining it, Eggs forgetting and asking again, [Name] getting annoyed and explaining it again, then Eggs would do the same to the next few things that came across.

It was starting to irritate [Name], but they couldn’t help but find it slightly adorable to see Eggs’ eyes be filled with awe, curiosity and wonder.

It always managed to bring a smile to [his | her | their] face.

[Name] let out a small sigh, “Alright-Alright, we can do this another time. Want to go to the market?” They nudged Eggs’ shoulder softly, smiling at him.

Eggs perked up, nodding ecstatically and smiled brightly. “Sure! These Upper World lessons were a bit boring though...”

[Name] could only shrug in response, furrowing their brows within confusion. “...Then, why did you keep on meeting me for them then, if they were that draining?”

[Name] could understand, it was like school and school was a terrifying thing.

Eggs pfft’ed and shook his head slightly, “I didn’t meet up with you for them lessons, I came to be around you!” He sprouted his arms out towards [Name] in exaggeration, a vibrant smile overcoming onto his face.

“Oh.” [Name] stated in shock, before his shock turned into a happy look and sent Eggs a close-eyed smile. “Thanks, Eggs...”

“It’s alright. Now, come on!” Eggs grabbed [Name’s] hand and led [him | her | them] away with him to the marketplace, the [boy | girl | child] let out a small surprised yelp in response.  

Me: Well, Vix. It seems to me that your real greatest fear is actually failing Spark, and I think that makes you a great selfless adoptive mother. I hope you and Spark have a nice Halloween.

"While I haven't understood the concept of fear, I can see that as a possible fear of mine...But, I am grateful for that comment on me being his adoptive mother, even though I'm just part of the Royal Guard to protect him...I hope you have a nice Halloween as well, whoever you really are."
