Shane and Ryan are a fun pair

I know we all already know that, but just wanted to put this out there:

Sometimes I go to write an incorrect quote, but it follows the “A is fun and sunshine and B is dark and violent” right, but Shane and Ryan don’t have that dichotomy - they’re both pretty heavy on the B character (but never ACT on that violence), just in different ways

Ryan gets wronged somehow and he’d probably be like “I’ll punch you in the face, I’ll do it right now just watch okay don’t mess with me”

Whereas Shane gets wronged and just says something like “i’ll disintegrate your small intestine tomorrow night at 2:47 a.m.”

So anyway

“Consensual sex” is just sex. To say that implies that there is such a thing as “non consensual sex”, which there isn’t. That’s rape. That is what it needs to be called. There is only sex or rape. Do not teach people that rape is just another type of sex. They are two very separate events. You wouldn’t say “breathing swimming” and “non breathing swimming”, you say swimming and drowning.

We’re supposed to be interested in their interests but it’s like we have to beg them just to do stuff that we like doing?

Horror film concept: Dude (outwardly respectable and married with children) trolls and stalks a girl on the internet with sexist, horrible remarks. Thinks nothing of it. It’s just some fun. Gets on with his life. Then it turns out she’s a chainsaw-wielding manic who will absolutely track him down and destroy his life.

Not kidding, I wrote a script like that once. For a class project.

Based on an anecdote my friend told me about her shock at discovering she was being stalked online by, well, a NORMAL family man. With two daughters. (She wasn’t a psycho, though. She was just, eh, quite scared of him.)

It was Kill Bill meets Clerks.

But as my screenwriter teacher pointed: “Well, Sharon, it’s low-budget. Which works and is feasible. But it’s too dark for American audiences, obviously. I think most people would just end up feeling bad for the main guy. He’d be the hero.”

The prefix is about men because our society has deemed it masculine. If a girl sits with her legs apart she's told to stop because she is sitting like a man. If a man sits with his legs crossed he will be shamed for being to feminine. Femininity and Masculinity are social constructs made to force men and women to act in favour of certain stereotypes.

Men get hurt by sexism too. Feminism is equality for men and women. A man should be able to do what a woman can and vice-versa. This is what feminism promotes, not a women are better ideology.

You know if we're going to use "man" prefix like "mansplaining", "manspreading", "manthreading" and so on, then we should be able to use "fem" as a prefix as well like "femsplaining", "femspreading", "femthreading" and shit like that. It's only fair. And isn't feminism about equality and fairness?

But not THAT kind of equality!!1!

masculinity and femininity are not equal roles.

when men designed the hierarchy of gender, do you think they just picked out some random qualities out of a hat and assigned them round robin style between men and women?

or maybe, just maybe, they designed masculinity to be about strength and dominance in order to create a system that ensures their supremacy? maybe they chose qualities to assign to femininity because they want women to behave in meek, docile manners and focus primarily on how visually and sexually pleasing they find us?

and then they claim that these bullshit stereotypes are some innate natural sense born in to us, in order to claim they are biologically superior?

brain sex has been debunked over and over. 

masculinity is a social construct, not innate.

femininity is a social construct, not innate.

these ideas vary by culture specifically because they are socially constructed, and they always exist as a hierarchy because patriarchy pervades cultures all over the world, not just white ones.

the whole reason gender exists is to tell people how to live, to put people in to boxes and explain to them how to acceptably behave–who are their social superiors/inferiors.

gender needs to be abolished. all people are capable of having any personality

Lol so I just watched this buzzfeed video where like four girls “freebled” for a day meaning they went a whole day without any feminine products for a day to experience what it’s like to be a woman who can’t afford products every month and they have to make due with what they’ve got. OMG. Props to these women for doing this because I can’t even imagine. And these women weren’t just lounging around their house all day sitting on puppy pads. They all had to go to work. So they’re at work sitting on puppy pads while they’re just bleeding away.

Sure many people reading this will think this is super gross but tampons and pads are marked as either an “unnecessary item” or a “luxury item” but you can go to a clinic or drs office and get free condoms. Because that makes sense. Because we’re all “equal” right?
