Amelie: When I was a child, I had a wonderful grandma. She was the mother of your grandpa Alaric. I adored her, she was the best person I ever knew, and she took care of your grandpa and my uncles alone, I admire her a lot. And her name was Harriet, just like you, my little one.
And Harriet listened as Amelie told this with tears in her eyes.
Amelie: I'll never forget you, grandma. (She wiped away the tear that almost fell)
Alaric, the grandpa (Amelie's father) come to visit his daughter and grandchildren again, and helped the triplets with homework. I love him 😭 (pls ignore the dirty plate on the table 🤡)

Desejando encontrar o desconhecido novamente, Amelie retornou ao parque após a escola. Ela estava nervosa, não tinha nenhuma garantia que o veria novamente, então apenas sentou e esperou.
Alguns minutos se passaram e então ele apareceu, indo logo em direção a ela. Seu coração acelerou um pouco e ela ficou feliz em vê-lo.
Ele se sentou junto a ela e os dois começaram a conversar.
— É um grande prazer te encontrar novamente, linda donzela! — Ele disse, sorrindo.
— Ora, mas eu nem sequer sei o seu nome, senhor. Me perdoe não ter perguntado no outro dia.
— Não se preocupe com isso! Eu acabei me descuidando também. É um enorme prazer te conhecer, eu sou August Williams. E a senhorita?
— Me chamo Amelie Kilgore.
— É um belíssimo nome para uma belíssima dama.
E os dois conversaram por um longo tempo, até que havia chegado a hora de Amelie ir para casa. Antes de ir, ela disse:
— Em alguns dias será o meu aniversário, seria uma honra se o senhor estivesse lá, Sr. Williams.
— A honra será toda minha em comparecer. — E então ele beijou a mão dela, deixando-a envergonhada, e se despediram. Amelie estava radiante. Iria ter uma excelente noite de sono.

Era sábado e Amelie decidiu levar seus irmãos para um passeio no parque, já que as aulas estavam bem estressantes, eles precisavam relaxar e descansar um pouco. Enquanto eles brincavam, ela preparou uma refeição na churrasqueira.
Porém, ela percebeu que um homem desconhecido se aproximou dela e ficou encarando-a; ele parecia bem triste. O desconhecido estava bem vestido e era até bonito. Ela sentiu uma estranha necessidade de ir até ele e perguntar-lhe o motivo de sua tristeza, mas isso com certeza não seria apropriado para uma jovem como ela.
Mas ele não parou de encara-la, então ela se levantou e foi até ele. Ele sorriu de leve quando ela se aproximou.
— Você parece triste, está tudo bem meu senhor? — Ela perguntou de forma gentil.
Ele então contou que sua mãe havia falecido alguns dias atrás e estava de coração partido por isso, então estava passeando para esfriar um pouco a cabeça.
Tentando conforta-lo, ela tocou em seu braço de forma gentil e disse:
— As coisas vão melhorar! Sinto muito pela sua mãe, a minha também faleceu há um tempo junto com a minha avó, sinto muito a falta delas.
Ela até mesmo tentou contar uma piada clássica, conseguindo arrancar um sorriso do homem desconhecido.
O homem infelizmente foi embora tão rápido quanto apareceu, nem mesmo dizendo adeus para Amelie, o que a deixou confusa.
Ela então decidiu ir brincar com seus irmãos no navio pirata para tentar esquecer a situação estranha que lhe aconteceu.

It was a cool morning in the last days of winter. Harriet was having breakfast with her granddaughter, Grace. Shortly after, Claire also came to get her share, wearing only her undergarments. But Harriet felt a deep sadness, for she knew deep in her soul that she had lived long enough and that this would be her last day.
She didn’t even finish eating before she saw that death was calling her. Grace and Claire witnessed her take her last breath and began to cry.

Era uma manhã fresca dos últimos dias do inverno, Harriet tomava seu café da manhã junto com sua neta, Grace. Logo em seguida Claire também veio pegar sua parte, usando apenas as roupas de baixo. Mas Harriet sentia uma profunda tristeza, pois sentia no fundo da sua alma que já tinha vivido o suficiente e aquele seria seu último dia.
Nem sequer acabou de comer e viu que a morte a chamava. Grace e Claire presenciaram ela dar seu último suspiro e começaram a chorar.
Upon realizing that Harriet’s soul was no longer among them, Maethe felt her heart falter, and as she stood up to go to her mother-in-law’s body, her heart couldn’t bear it, and she too was taken by Lady Death.

Ao saber que a alma de Harriet não estava mais entre nós, Maethe sentiu seu coração falhar e ao levantar-se para ir até o corpo da sogra, seu coração não aguentou e ela também foi levada pela Dona Morte.
Alaric lost both his wife and his mother in the same day. His children, now orphans, wept, unable to understand how the world could fall apart so quickly. Now, only he and his eldest daughter, Amelie, remained to care for the younger ones and the household.
