Can we talk about how Buck shows his distress in a visceral physical way; shouting Eddie's name, insanely single minded intensity in rescuing him (his eyes during the sniper arc goddamn), saying out loud again and again about how he's got him, shaking hands, broken sobs but Eddie show's his distress in a more quieter way, almost folding it into himself; yes he does shout for Buck but also, when he saves Buck, he immediately becomes more subdued, he drove the truck even though I'm sure everything in him was screaming to be with Buck, he stays with the team and hugs them first and when he sneaks Chris in and cries, it's subdued too-wiping it off immediately, quiet. Even after getting shot when he asks Buck if he's hurt, it's more quiter and gentler (it's probably the blood loss but you know what I mean). Buck grieves with his whole body and heart and Eddie grieves with his soul is what I'm saying. They even complement each other in the way they grieve. Buck needs an anchor to keep him steady while he rages like a storm and Eddie needs someone whose arms he can quietly fall apart in, carrying him ashore gently.

I feel like Natalia would fall into a sort of Buck has to have gotten hurt first before getting attention.

Has anyone ever talked about Buck and his mommy issues when it comes to relationships?

So, there’s this thing about you tend to date/marry people who either look like you or hold similar traits to your family members. It’s some evolutionary stuff that is something idk, but it’s a thing like a lot of the time.

Margaret was absent, she was there physically, but emotionally and mentally closed off to Buck unless he was hurt. He worked to earn her affection. He worked to earn her approval.

Abby— Buck worked to make her like him. She was older (not that she was mom age, but this is a boy who doesn’t really know healthy relationships with people older than him). She cancelled on him a lot, making her kinda absent. She then literally abandoned him.

Ali— Didn’t like seeing him get hurt, to the point where she also left him. With her brown hair she looks similar to JLH (random due to casting, but still). Very touchy feely in the way Margaret (in a motherly way) wasn’t. Coerced Buck into choices like a mother would. There’s not much about Ali, she wasn’t around for long.

Taylor— Absent a lot both physically and emotionally. Keeping secrets, like Buck could probably feel his family was even if he couldn’t tie it to Daniel at the time. Open with her wants. Driven and loud, against Margaret’s quiet and contained. Kissed Buck after he was nearly killed, like his mom only caring when he got hurt.

I can’t think of more stuff. I know there is.

The point being, Buck has always been with people who feed into his mommy issues.

Even with Natalia, he’s impressing her for her affection.

Either the writers were doing it on purpose, or it was just a crazy coincidence.

Now, here’s the buddie part of this because I may not think the writers are going to take it there, but…

Eddie doesn’t feed into any of it, in a good way. He’s attentive to his own son, and to Buck. He trusts Buck. He worries about Buck’s safety, yes, but not because he can’t take seeing Buck get hurt but because he just doesn’t want to see Buck hurt. The difference being how Buck’s mom couldn’t see a kid in a hospital because of how it impacted her and how Ali left because of Buck’s impact on her. Eddie doesn’t want Buck hurt because of how it impacts Buck, which in turn could impact Eddie, but he’s not thinking of himself. You get me? Eddie comes when Buck calls. Eddie comes when Buck doesn’t call. He doesn’t have to work to make Eddie like him. No climbing trees for him.

This makes Eddie more like Maddie. Someone who Buck loves and loves Buck in return, no questions asked.

so basically: During the original filming for s6 eps10&11 there were bts of buck in an outfit that looked pretty weird and later there was a video of Oliver with the actress who plays Bucks mom, and in a set that looked kinda like the Buckley home. So people started theorizing that this was Buck in a coma.

This later grew on and Kristen Reidel was interviewed on it and said how interesting it was.

We also got another interview about the upcoming episodes and how s6 ep10 will end on a cliffhanger and that s6 ep11 will start out kinda trippy.

THEN in the mid season promo video, it shows two firefighters get hit by lightning, on of them being Buck getting a direct hit and falling off the ladder truck.

ALSO we got a promo image with a firefighter helmet on the ground in the pouring rain.

SOON later we get bts of Bobby and Chimney running around and them with a gurney that has a defibrillator on it.

COME FIND OUT in more promo pictures, Fox accidentally released a photo with Buck unconscious on a gurney, likely having his clothes opened up to get defibrillated.

i dont hate buck and eddie at all lol in fact i love them a lot. it's just the other characters deserve just as much love that buck and eddie get.

okay i'm gonna start watching what we do in the shadows. here's what i already know before actually watching anything

there's vampires

one of them has hair that looks like cat ears

it's filmed like a reality show or something

there's a vampire hunter(?) dating one of the vampires(?)

all the vampires have titles in their names(?)

I feel like a big thing with 9-1-1 is that a lot of the people in the production WANT buddie to happen, or at the least would be cool with it, it's just that the executive producers don't want it; So they make a lot of scenes where you get really domestic and close content with no following through and getting the penultimate of those scenes with a confession/relationship.

I lived through the Supernatural Destiel moment and while 911 feels different (because it’s not as big and the actors don’t do conventions and stuff), and I would’ve never called the show queerbaity at all… I am slightly nervous it’ll get to that same queer bait level.

I saw posts about one of the crew members (the cinematographer?) Joaquin who said things like “You got us” about the same type of shirt that Buck and Eddie were wearing, and him “giggling” at Buddie speculation.

The “you got us” to me could technically be taken innocently as him saying “you got us, we did put them in a similar shirt! Good eyes!” But not having any other meaning behind it.

But the fact that he knows people are using it as a Buck x Eddie thing makes it feel a little icky if he knows 100% that the shirt means nothing and Buddie canon isn’t even thought about by the crew.

Same with the sticker on the clapboard/slate. They know what will get them trending and make people react and I just don’t want them to use hopeful fans for social media clot.

The writers have a great opportunity for something awesome. And as much as I want it to happen and I could see how easily it could happen because they literally set it up to happen, I don’t know if the show will be brave enough to have 2 shows (og + spin-off) with no “young, hot, straight, single, classically stereotypically male” characters, since everyone besides Rob Lowe on LS is in a relationship or going to be, and if Buddie goes canon, I think Fox thinks it would lose demographic ratings.

This was more negative than I wanted it to be😂 I just think the writers have set it up so Buddie is the only way, but the more I hope the more terrified I am🤡🤡🤡

my fav thing abt wwdits is that the intro clearly shows them all dressing for the era and changing their looks, but in the show they dress completely not for the era which means one day they all just decided to not care anymore
