A collection of Wild Kratt fanfic recs about one or both of them going feral to some extent. Assume the work is finished unless I mention otherwise. Some things in here are feral-per-say and more strongly being influenced by animal instincts.

Tazzy Section

This is stuff specifically about going feral as a T-Devil.

Empty Stomach (A short piece in which Tazzy Chris eats a dead animal and throws up)

The Blood on Your Teeth (the take on the Tazzy Chris episode in which Chris is more feral than he was in the episode. Currently unfinished)

Stuck as a T-Devil (short light-hearted fic set right after the end of the Tazzy Chris episode. Due to the amount of DNA in suit, Chris will be stuck as a T-Devil for a few days)

Tazzy Brother-Mine (Tazzy Martin. Zach's disrupt-o-bots copy this malfunction from Chris's suit to Martin's. It doesn't activate til awhile later when Chris and Martin get stuck in a cave-in. Martin still pretty much himself but he's hungry and that doesn't bode well for animal instincts.)

Tazzy Martin (Zach's disrupt-o-bots copy this malfunction from Chris's suit to Martin's. It activates right away and Martin soon ends up running off into the woods while the crew tries to find him. They end up having to save Zach from Martin)

Tazzy!Martin Comic: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 (not a fanfic exactly but a fan comic)

Light-hearted (for the most part)

Were-Kratts! (Martin and Chris are were-mountain cats. They have been this whole time but the others didn't find out til now. They aren't dangerous towards the crew but they do cause a mess)

A cute little comic in which bird!Chris makes a nest in Martin's hair

Board Games and Burnout (Martin stays up way too late learning how to play a board game he just got. He and Chris then have to stop an evil plan of Zach's and afterwards have to round of a bunch of zebras. Martin stays with the zebras as he zebra himself to make sure no more wander off. Zebra herd instinct makes him really want to be with the crew)

Cheetah Panic (Martin worries about Chris being late to show up their meeting spot. He then has a cheetah panic attack, only a little bit of feral-ness here) there's also a comic version

Otterly Ridiculous Instincts (Martin and Chris are otters but Chris's suit has malfunctioned turning him into a baby otter. Martin gets in danger from a shark and Chris's animal instincts cause him to really freak out)

Other

Control (Some random villain tries to use Zach's mind control technology to get Martin to attack a de-powered Chris. Martin ends up attacking the random villain instead after some struggle, it's bloody.)

A Foreign Sense of Flavor (Martin has a nightmare in which he goes hunting as a Florida Panther and kills a "deer")

Influence of Instincts (Chris and Martin are hanging out as cheetahs but then run into some poachers who think they are mutant cheetahs and not human. Martin is out cold and Chris ends up attacking the poachers to protect them both)

Intentional Misconduct (Zach uses his disrupt-o-bots to make the bros go feral while they are in wolf form. They attack him and he runs off to the Tortuga to help undue what he did, the wold bros follow him. Currently unfinished)

The Sea Forgets; The Sky Remembers (Zach's evil cousin has a traveling cryptid show and show wants to get some living specimens for it. She has Zach help her by capturing the bros and messing with their suits to make Martin look like a merman and Chris look like the mothman. Chris is able to get away to get help but isn't able to bring Martin with him. Neither of them were living in good conditions but things get worse for Martin after Chris escapes. Sadly, being part-goldfish is bad for memory)

Physical Instrument (Chris messes up his suit and ends up being a hybrid of multiple animals. He runs around in the woods trying to hunt and not being good at it. The crew have to capture a starved feral Chris. Even when they can fix his mind, they can't fix his body. Currently Unfinished)

Animalistic (turns out using shapeshifting suits a bunch can cause permanent change. Also shows sick!Chris. Currently Unfinished)

Of Claws and Stripes (Tazzy Chris but with tigers instead of T-Devils. Chris poses a very real threat to Martin and suit poses a very real threat to Chris)

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐲𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐭 - 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐀𝐫𝐭

CPS concept I came up with last month! Hyenas are one of my favorite animals and I wanted to make one for my Vindicated AU story for more suit variety.

Designing this was a lot of fun, I wanna do more CPS concepts in the future :D

Suit Lore- ;)

In this suit, you CAN stand on only two legs, but the suit is really meant to be stood on with all fours, as the back legs were not made with the muscular structure of supporting all the body's weight in mind. (Notice how in humans, since we evolved to carry our body weight with only the back legs, the muscles such as in the thighs are much denser compared to the arms.)

As seen in the drawing, the front arms are thicker than the back legs, to support the torso weight and dense muscles surrounding the scapula (shoulder blade), which greatly aids in grip strength when catching and holding onto prey (much like with big cats). [The suit was built this way for a reason ;).]

Also, the wearer's ears are hidden inside of the mechanical ears, for protection against loud noises.

Justice served on a silver platter... oh how I long for you.

I've finally decided on a name for my Wild Kratts AU- "Vindicated".

Inspired by the amazing Reprogrammed AU, but with my own additions and spin on it. And a key difference-- what if Martin was captured instead?

Feel free to send me asks about it, and I'll share what I can :D (still developing the plot so I don't wanna spoil too much yet)

Cue existential crisis

How would Blair react to her origin when she gets older? Would the crew/her dad tell her eventually or would she find out by accident?

Martin and the crew agreed to never speak of it to Blair, for Blair her "mother died in childbirth"

But she will eventually find out the truth.

I’m at a store that said “no backpacks allowed” (for theft) on the entrance, and I just thought to myself, what if we were kangaroos?

Ooh tumblr milestone

So when I was 8 or 9, I did lots of things; go outside to make mud pies, climb trees, do art class and PE every alternating week, surf the web, play on the Xbox 360 with my brother, and watch cartoons on the telly (one of which being Wild Kratts).

I also loved to play flash games online on the family computer all the time, so I can’t remember which I found first, the WK flash games on the PBS website or the show itself, although come to think of it, it might’ve been the show first because the ad at the end credits where they said they have flash games on the website is probably how I found those; and I watched other PBS shows like Oso Special.

I loved the cheetah racer game and remember it being really hard to beat level (I think?) 4, and wandering around the various biomes in the power disks you won through playing. RIP Flash 😢

As for the fandom, the memory had been completely dormant for the past 11 years until about two months ago, when YouTube recommended me a video titled something like “Remember Wild Kratts?” and I was like oh yeah I used to watch that! Then moved on to the next video.

Then about a week later I get a picture of Zach Varmitech on my Pinterest feed, and I’m like, isn’t that… Wild Kratts, right? (I recognized the distinct art style along with Zach, but totally forgot his name)

Then I went down a rabbit hole of fanart and found @yes-asil’s tazzy Martin comics, and the rest is history 🥳
