Have you read A Chance Visitor by lavful? It’s a Greenflower(Lloyd/Brad) fic and it is so cute and fun to read! Hasnt updated in a bit, but it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger or anything :)

another day, another post with me begging you to send me your favorite lloyd garmadon fanfictions. PLEASE.

So fun to find another collage girlie who loves ninjago! Question, what is ur favorite ninjago ship, and what ship do you like that isn’t well known/seen often?

YES. literally i will watch this show until it's very last season. i've been here since 2011 and i'm not backing down now. (mostly because i have an unhealthy attachment to this show but we are not going to get into that rn).

my favorite ninjago ship is pixane!! they have fantastic chemistry and i cannot wait until we see pixal again because i miss her so much.

my favorite ship that isn't seen often is ED AND EDNA WALKER. like wdym we haven't seen them since hands of time???? literally i will RIOT. (i mean technically i think they were at nya's memorial in seabound and at the finale in crystalized but really that doesn't count because they have no lines). anyway, their relationship is so cute and i miss them so much.

Ok, ninjago brain rot cause I started thinking about Lloyd and cant stop, but I really love thinking about how his interactions with Pythor in the first season shaped Lloyd as a person in ways we can see in future seasons. Like, Python heavily manipulated him the moment they meet, helping him and being affectionate and comforting when he was upset about Darkleys, up until the point he betrayed Lloyd and let him get caught. We see similar relationships with Harumi, his dad, I mean his knee jerk reaction to Akita being a human is immediately assuming she was trying to manipulate him and target him! It’s so crazy to see how something from season one still impacted him so much that it shows seasons later.

When Dragons Rising S2 comes out I’m gonna watch only one per week.

Frankly it’s more exciting, the cliff hangers feel more daunting, the episodes feel fresher

And it reminds me of watching SOG when it first came out, where I’d spend every Thursday night online seeing if the episode released

I’d love to see other people join in on this too. I feel like binge culture has kinda ruined a lot of shows :/

The fact that Lloyd canonically is a fantastic pickpocket means so much to me.

Examples: taking Soto's fork leg in Skybound & stealing the handcuff keys from Harumi in Crystalized.

Like, obviously it's from Darkley's, but it's still just so cool and would love to see that being implemented more in the show.

I think the reason why Kai and Cole had such a radical emotional change after March of the Oni was because Lloyd died

We’ve had plenty of characters die in Ninjago, and it always had a horrific affect on the ninja emotionally. Despite all their adventures and godlike powers they’re still older teenagers and young adults- of course when their sibling or lover dies in the fight they’re gonna want to avoid the fight itself

I think it was different for Lloyd tho- Lloyd despite losing the golden power is still the most powerful ninja. He’s not meant to lose, out of all of the ninja he’s the one who’s least likely to die and I think they know that.

So when he died facing down the Oni, even briefly, that would make the ninja doubtful and even afraid of their own mortality-

Kai’s hotheadedness and desire for the fury of battle dies when he see’s his little brother unresponsive on the floor. If he can die, so can Kai

Coles stubborn facade and die hard attitude gets a reality check when the kid who defeated the incarnate of evil lies dead in front of him

It would just be a reality check for them. Both have had to look death in the eyes many times before, but experiencing death is something that they themselves wouldn’t often think about.

Something I love about ninjago is the fact that the villains actually WIN sometimes. It immediately raises the intensity and perceived danger level when a villain makes a good plan that actually works. I will never forget how intense the final battle with the overlord was in season two when I watched it the first time, and a lot of that is due to Lloyd losing against overlord/garm on the island. He failed, the others failed, but after that they still went to the city and fought, and that made me love and admire the ninja in a way I hadn’t, because how many times do you watch a hero go into a fight knowing they will lose everything if they fail again, knowing they absolutely CAN FAIL. And it’s nice that they keep up with the stakes throughout most other seasons. It’s definitely one of the things I really love about this show.

Honestly I think we are both right on this dude, Lloyd has been a complex character from the first time he aired, the first seasons have so much untapped headcanon potential that I love delving into it and discussing it

LLOYD GARMADON. Specifically season one Lloyd. Think about it, a young kid living by themselves, having a name made for them that they really had no say in, gifted with powers that go beyond what most people can understand, and wanting nothing more then for people to pay attention to and play with them. While The Collector was manipulated by Belos and tricked into using his power to hurt people, Lloyd was manipulated by Pythor to hurt people by releasing the rest of the Serpentine. Just thought those parallels were interesting

I agree, but also remember the only reason he was running around outside causing harm in the first place was because Darkleys kicked him out for not being evil enough. I remember in the first eps he tells Pythor that he is trying to prove his evilness so he can prove them wrong.

feeling real normal and fine over the fact that scar said “you can have a monopoly” while handing grian cacti. as they stood together in the sand. that is the Closest acknowledgement either of them have ever gotten to the cactus ring.

do you think that was scar’s way of trying to tell grian he misses him? that he truly does forgive him? that he never held anything against him for how things ended up on that mountain oh so long ago?
