“We chose the term “asexual” to describe ourselves because both “celibate” and “anti-sexual” have connotations we wished to avoid: the first implies that one has sacrificed sexuality for some higher good, the second that sexuality is degrading or somehow inherently bad. “Asexual”, as we use it, does not mean “without sex” but “relating sexually to no one”. This does not, of course, exclude masturbation but implies that if one has sexual feelings they do not require another person for their expression. Asexuality is, simply, self-contained sexuality.”
— The Asexual Manifesto, Lisa Orlando and Barbara Getz, 1972

Once you’ve looked over all those cool links, I have some general advice for you on how you can have some sort of support system going for you:
You may decide to leave home for many different reasons, including:
wishing to live independently
location difficulties – for example, the need to move closer to university
conflict with your parents
being asked to leave by your parents.
It’s common to be a little unsure when you make a decision like leaving home. You may choose to move, but find that you face problems you didn’t anticipate, such as:
Unreadiness – you may find you are not quite ready to handle all the responsibilities.
Money worries – bills including rent, utilities like gas and electricity and the cost of groceries may catch you by surprise, especially if you are used to your parents providing for everything. Debt may become an issue.
Flatmate problems – issues such as paying bills on time, sharing housework equally, friends who never pay board, but stay anyway, and lifestyle incompatibilities (such as a non-drug-user flatting with a drug user) may result in hostilities and arguments.
Think about how your parents may be feeling and talk with them if they are worried about you. Most parents want their children to be happy and independent, but they might be concerned about a lot of different things. For example:
They may worry that you are not ready.
They may be sad because they will miss you.
They may think you shouldn’t leave home until you are married or have bought a house.
They may be concerned about the people you have chosen to live with.
Reassure your parents that you will keep in touch and visit regularly. Try to leave on a positive note. Hopefully, they are happy about your plans and support your decision.
Tips include:
Don’t make a rash decision – consider the situation carefully. Are you ready to live independently? Do you make enough money to support yourself? Are you moving out for the right reasons?
Draw up a realistic budget – don’t forget to include ‘hidden’ expenses such as the property’s security deposit or bond (usually four weeks’ rent), connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Communicate – avoid misunderstandings, hostilities and arguments by talking openly and respectfully about your concerns with flatmates and parents. Make sure you’re open to their point of view too – getting along is a two-way street.
Keep in touch – talk to your parents about regular home visits: for example, having Sunday night dinner together every week.
Work out acceptable behaviour – if your parents don’t like your flatmate(s), find out why. It is usually the behaviour rather than the person that causes offence (for example, swearing or smoking). Out of respect for your parents, ask your flatmate(s) to be on their best behaviour when your parents visit and do the same for them.
Ask for help – if things are becoming difficult, don’t be too proud to ask your parents for help. They have a lot of life experience.
Not everyone who leaves home can return home or ask their parents for help in times of trouble. If you have been thrown out of home or left home to escape abuse or conflict, you may be too young or unprepared to cope.
If you are a fostered child, you will have to leave the state-care system when you turn 18, but you may not be ready to make the sudden transition to independence.
If you need support, help is available from a range of community and government organisations. Assistance includes emergency accommodation and food vouchers. If you can’t call your parents or foster parents, call one of the associations below for information, advice and assistance.

Try to solve any problems before you leave home. Don’t leave because of a fight or other family difficulty if you can possibly avoid it.
Draw up a realistic budget that includes ‘hidden’ expenses, such as bond, connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Remember that you can get help from a range of community and government organizations.

Exercises for all the homies who want to have a long career drawing.
The true problem with being an artist and drawing all day (as I wanted my whole life) is that human backs are not designed to hold that position, so it is very common for artists and designers to have really stiff shoulder blades, creating a chain of muscle strain towards the arm AND the back… and a lot of pain.
These are some physical exercises for artists and honestly anyone who works at a desk.

Danny Phantom One-Shot Recs
I’m gonna plug my own one-shot in here first, then go in reverse through my history. This list is probably gonna have more fics, so buckle up. There’s (surprisingly) only one crossover, and I’ve also put the GothMoth fics into a section by themselves. Because they’re special.
Coincidentally by Dragoknitter - Miles and Tucker are cousins, and Tucker basically says, “Y’all need a support system, lemme hook you up.”
Is This Just A Thing that Girls Do? by newdog14 - Middle school girls are terrifying, and this is definitely something I might’ve done if given the right motivation.
Pushing Buttons (Until They Break) by ObsidianCreates - Danny’s parents aren’t the best at feelings, and press on way too many sore spots. But! There’s a sequel and they make up for it!
Day Three: Cryptid by JadeNoRyuu - Astraphobic Danny + supernatural thunderstorm + helpful senior student = a fun little story that is just *Pacha 🖐👌Meme*
The Green Gremlin by NikaylaSarae - Some top-notch character building for Dash, although this author mostly writes for Sanders Sides
Parental Woes by DarkNymfa - Very nice premise! Clockwork and Pandora are awesome, but don’t really Get human stuff. Danny is embarrassed.
Of Tweets and Twats by DarkNymfa - Twitter convos discussing Amity Park, featuring people from Amity Park!
Flickering Yellow and Green by dragonrayy - Danny gets hit with something by Technus that messes up his eyes, so he goes to a ghost optometrist.
Grabbing Smoke by thatgirl_youknowtheone - Lovely characterization for Kitty! Also has Jewish Sam!
Growing Pains by ayjayar - Ghost puberty! Ghost puberty! But not for Danny
What Can Be Found by ajility - Denial isn’t just a river in Egypt. Or, in this case, a dream ship in the Ghost Zone.
Facing Facts by ajility - I get the feeling this author just likes writing Danny in denial about his parents’ neglect…
The Things We Hold Dear by Alana_Kitty - Nice little story about Danny fixing Ember’s guitar!
Bang Babies got nothin’ on the Ghost Kid by anthrop - Look. I loved Static Shock as a kid and seeing him completely overwhelmed by Danny’s OP ass is wonderful.
Core by GhostWriterGirl1 - F in the chat for Danny. Boi gets messed up by a solar flare. The author added in the reasoning behind the headcanon too, so that’s neat!
Shots Fired by RedGhost1010 - This is definitely NOT what you should do in the event of a school shooting, but who cares about that when you’re immortal?
Lightning Scars and Listening Ears by GoingDeceased - A little angsty, but hey! Danny finally has some adults on his side!
Electricity by lexosaurus - Danny has PTSD, and peer pressure is a bitch
Spooky Sin Scholar - Danny is a polyglot and teaches classmates to swear in Ghost.
The Fright In Halloween - Danny is a little shit, but what else is new?
Mimicry - Mostly just shitting on radical Christianity’s policy of “unnatural things must be eradicated, we must send them back to Hell where they belong”, at least that’s my takeaway
Fashion Flame War - Uniforms are only convenient for schools, and are a crime against expression of self. Casper High can never do things the easy way, though.
In My Veins Flows Chaos, But I Could Do Without It Being This Obvious - *plops ectoplasm into Danny’s hands* He glows!
Nip Trips Nips - Ah, ghost nip. And implied Val/Ellie! (Ellie is my preferred name for her because Dani and Danny is just so confusing)
Ecto Upgrade Start - Ghost puberty, for Danny this time!
Gala Glamour - Richness and pettiness are a given combination, after all, why shouldn’t Vlad use his ridiculous wealth for the entertainment of teenagers?
Poised To Go Splat - Don’t drink glow sticks, kids. Or let your insane ghost-hunting parents make an anti-ecto fog machine for the school dance.
What Qualifies As A Few Too Many Words? One - Ah, the unfortunate circumstance of a ghost needing Danny’s help, luckily (or unluckily) the ghost doesn’t speak English.
Would You Like Some Bullets With That, Sir? - Vlad is insanely rich. People don’t like him. Failed assassinations are just annoying when you’re immortal.
Phabulous Phashion - Danny should not be allowed to shop for clothes by himself.
Little Nibblers - Accidental ghost edible consumption, and baby fangs.
Are you in the mood to perhaps compile fics with that specific dadzawa & dadmic situation? ♡
:O!! YES ALWAYS??? OMG OKAY
For anyone who hasn’t seen it this ask is in reference to this comic I made about one of my favorite types of bnha fanfic: Aizawa and Yamada having already adopted Shinsou and Eri, realize Bakugou might also need some help.
It’s not entirely clear in my comic lmao but I feel like if you know, you know. Anyway here are some of my favorites!
note: because of the subject matter, most if not all of these contain themes of physical/emotional abuse and neglect. Check the tags for details
pump the break by stolenbythewestwind
this one is first because this fic. oh this fic eviscerates me. I really like Shinsou's characterization here, and the attention given to how he adjusts to Bakugou's presence. Also it can be so hard to write Mitsuki in a way that feels real in a situation like this, I swear to god this fic this fic is the blueprint. If I ever shut up about pump the break I am dead and gone from this earth.
this family of ours by ghostoutofhisgrave
A one-shot from Mic's pov about how they got all their kids. This one also includes Todoroki and is so fucking sweet. I love how Eri is so happy to have new brothers and they immediately roll with it.
It's Called: Freefall by poddunkk
This one is like good parenting slowburn because Bakugou doesn't move in until deep into the fic but god I love this one. The way Bakugou and Shinsou go from awkward, annoyed, mutuals to brothers is fantastic. There's mention of Eri being introduced soon!
Okay moving away from my comic just a bit! Here some of my favs where their family is generally already established, but still feature Bakugou, Shinsou, and dadzawa/dadmic:
Our House, Our Lives. (Part four of Homemade Families) by Heroesloverofbooks
This is a short series of fics! Including Todoroki, but no Eri in these ones. I picked part four because this one is my favorite; I like the silly sibling banter and Bakugou's dramatic ass.
Silent Treatement (Part two of Learning to Juggle) by SmartiMart
Another fantastic series, it's different from most other I've read because this time it's Shinsou, Bakugou, and Midoriya in the house (No Eri). The situations that get Bakugou and Midoriya into the erasermic fam are also unique, it's not usually what I go for with them, but the characterization has me by the throat.
Special Note: I HIGHLY suggested reading part two first. The plot of Silent Treatement is Bakugou and Midoriya have a fight and no one else can figure out why. I won't spoil it, but there's this scene where Bakugou admits something and Aizawa has this oh shit moment that hits so much harder without the context from part one.
now by theghoulinyourattic
A one-shot that's on the shorter end but I adore the characterization here. He would fucking do that omfg.
Lavender Tears (Series) by dreamsoflovingness
Another series, fourteen parts and complete! Once more featuring Todoroki but not Eri. I love this one so much I can't pick a favorite. My favorite part of this series is seeing the boy's relationships develop over the course of it. Especially how the author writes Bakugou suddenly being someone's brother.
a mix of six (Series) by Argentina
I'm obsessed with this authors mind. Y'all not only is this series twenty-seven parts, it includes Todoroki and Eri! I love the episodic style of these and OUGH there is just something about these kids developing the instinct to protect one another that gets me. There's one where Eri puts glitter in their hair and the next day at school the three of them are bragging about how cool their little sister is and I fucking can't. I love it.
Bonus Round: Some fics that don't technically fit the prompt but I hold so dear to my heart.
baby steps. by nitroglycerin_and_paraffin
Included because it involves Aizawa getting Bakugou out of his house. I fucking love this one. The way the author slowly gives you more information about why Aizawa acts the way he does and the way he finds out about little tidbits of Class-A's relationship dynamics I'm soooo normal about it. Also I LOVE the back-and-forth dialogue I'm eating that shit up.
Best Jeanist Acquires A Son (Series) by Sif
OH THESE ONES. Bakugou gets out of his house but it's Jeanist that takes him in! I love how the author developed Bakugou and Jeanist and don't even get me started on the quirk meta they did for Bakugou it's the coolest shit ever.
That's my list, thank you so much for the ask :)
The amount of serotonin it gave me to watch this grandma react to her new galaxy light 🥺
It’s dark in here- *gasps in excitement* OHH SARAH!
OHH SARAH! *giggles like a little kid* OHhHhH!!
My ceiling is filled with blue lights… and stars and everything!!
OH Sarah! I can go to bed at night looking at this. OHHHH it’s beautiful!
shout out to ace and aro kids who are constantly bombarded with the opinion that sex and romantic love are directly connected to living a happy life.
So my best friend and I started joking about how crazy our old private school was and the more we talked the more we realized it was actually really messed up and horrifying. So here’s some things that happened to me from 4th to 12th grade in my American private school!
- The entire school was taken out of class for an entire afternoon to silently hold hands in a field as a “fundraiser” for the school gym. The principal went around with a bottle of water for kids to drink out of via waterfall so we wouldn’t pass out in the 85+ degree heat.
- We spent an entire semester watching nothing but kidnapping videos for our “life science” class. Given this was during the Kony 2012 instance but we’d watch videos not only about him raising his child army, but also security footage of different children getting kidnapped or almost getting kidnapped so we’d know we weren’t safe anywhere. We weren’t taught how to avoid it, just that it was very possible. We weren’t in high school yet is all ill say.
- A teacher was hired who had no education or training as a teacher, was doing drugs on campus, and would spend entire class periods cursing out children and telling them they would never amount to anything.
- We watched videos of people being possessed by demons, terrorized by demons, and so on. In two separate years.
- We were never taught what mental health was. At all. There was only demon possession.
- We had to do a project on abortion which included looking up and printing out pictures of the different steps then presenting it to the class to prove why abortion was wrong.
- We were told to never have sex or else we’d get STDs. We were never told what sex or STDs were, much less how to prevent STDs or have safe sex. The word sex was used maybe once and only with “never have” in front of it.
- Girls (yes only girls) were told they’d be viewed as “second hand goods” if they kissed a boy before marriage and no one would want them. This was in our Life Management textbook.
- Boys were told to walk on or next to the road on a date so they’d be hit with a car and die instead of the girl. It was not a “just in case” thing. It was a “you will sacrifice yourself at 12 years old” thing.
- We watched a slow motion, graphic video of two teenage girls getting into a horrific car accident because they were texting and driving. It was acted out but left nothing to the imagination. They died in the video and we saw it all.
- For prom, if you brought someone from outside the school, your date had to be interviewed by the principal and the dean, fill out paperwork and sign in, and then you and your date had to get a lecture from the dean about how we were expected to act at prom.
- We were told to never date anyone who wasn’t of the same religion as us. If we did, we would marry them, have kids, get into fights, divorse, lose everything to the ex-spouse, and end up living under a bridge starving to death with your children for the rest of your life. This was a legit example used in the Life Management textbook.
- We were not told what abuse was or the different forms it took.
- Teachers would “kidnap” an entire class in between periods to prank another teacher. Sometimes an entire class would go missing for a whole hour because of this.
- We skipped over the entire chapter on breast cancer in our health class because it had the word breast in it. We never learned how to check for breast cancer ourselves to make sure we were healthy. It was an all girls class.
- The Life Management book had a story in it about a man and a woman. The “homely” man was in love with the woman and asked her to marry him (they were not in a relationship). She said no. He kept asking her for YEARS and she kept saying no but he wouldn’t give up. Eventually, she looked over at him in church one day and realized wow looks don’t matter at all he’s a good religious man. She agreed to marry him the next time he asked. So I guess if she says no you just keep asking! You’ll wear her down eventually!
- We never learned what rape was.
- We never learned what sex was or how to have it safely.
- We never learned what mental health was and how to get help.
- We never learned what abuse was and how to have a healthy relationship besides the above mentioned “never take no,” “you’re broken if you aren’t pure,” and “sacrifice yourself by throwing yourself in front of a bus.”
- We were taught in Life Management that men needed to ask out the woman. If she did it, the relationship would forever be unbalanced and he’d feel inferior and would never respect her.
- Rock music is a sin so don’t listen to it
- Women who go too far are second hand goods and will die alone because no one wants them.
- Don’t kiss before marriage because that’ll make it more special.
- We did a whole project on why evolution is wrong. And were never told what evolution was beforehand.
I’m sure there’s more but that’s just off the top of our heads! Can honestly say it was the most toxic environment I’ve ever been in and I’m horrified looking back on it.
I was today years old when I learned that when you type “otp: true” in AO3 search results it filters out fics with additional ships, leaving only the fics where your otp is the main ship
