A special feeling of joy

There is a very special feeling of joy when you write a game, pour your heart and soul into it, then take it to a convention, and play it with a bunch of strangers... and they tell you that they want to play it next year! That's IT, right there. It's wonderful.

Good lord, this. Due to strange circumstances, I've been involved in editing a translation twice in my life. It's insane. In one case, the original author was relying on a WORD COUNT to judge the accuracy of a translation-- that was a two-language chain, at that! Languages are nothing like each other at all, and it's fairly common to have concepts, words or just grammar that doesn't translate between two languages at all.

The problem with studying Catholic heresies is that they litreally made a hobby out of inventing fully realised heretical theologies in order to accuse each other of subscribing to them. Basically every single one comes with a big asterisk noting that it's unclear whether anyone ever actually believed this, or whether some random theologian just made up a guy to get mad at – and the worst part is that you absolutely cannot tell just from looking at them, because the heresies we do have evidence of actual practice for are, if anything, even weirder. Like, the guys who thought Jesus was a hologram were 100% real, so you can't rule anything out!
