"Technically I belong to the UC scientists that created me. In essence I am UC property." He informed. "But someone still needs to give me directive." He paused, gave a pleasant smile that was meant to put humans at ease and offered a hand. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, David. I'm designated C.A.Z. That is short for Computer Automated Zebi." The guard scoffed at this and decided to clear up just why they'd left this thing locked away for so long. "The miners don't want these machines stealing their jobs. Nobody wants it here."
"Yes, sir. Cooking, cleaning, moving the heavier equipment and tending to medical needs. However I might be of assistance." He paused and tilted his head at the question, mannerisms as human as possible. "How did any of us get here, captain? Through creation in one form or in another." He supposed it wasn't quite what was meant, but he didn't know truly how he had gotten here. Only that he'd woken here ready to serve humanity to the best of his ability. "Generally, I would report to the foreman, but I'm afraid his skull was cracked when the strike breakers came in. Unless... you're here to give me a new directive." He rather hoped that might be the case as he'd be lost without someone in command. Stepping from the cell was -as the humans were so fond of saying- as if a weight off of his shoulders.

//OOC: Having some pretty severe depression after being forced to spend a holiday with my family so I'm going to take a little extra time off.
The whistle blew out it's shrill order before an officer shouted from somewhere along the line. "Up and over lads!"
Which sound was worse he could not say. Both held equal dread for a man and yet still they all did their duty and clambered to the top. Up and over to see what they could do in the never-ending tug-of-war of taking and retaking the same trenches. As always, the UC Highlanders were the first over the top. The first into the fray. Brothers and sisters fell all around him. To his left and to his right, but still they pressed onwards into the fire with a bravery few could ever hope to possess. "Mech!" Someone cried out and he just caught the sight of the machine coming up over the crest of the hill before it let loose a hellstorm of missiles in their direction. - He didn't remember much of what happened after that. Only that he was sent arse over end when the missiles hit and darkness. Coming to now he tried his best to move but found himself entangled in a mess of barbed wire. Oh, bloody hell. This wasn't good. He'd seen a few poor bastards go out this way -entangled and trapped with no hope of rescue- and he had no desire to be one of them. He gave another tug of his arm only to feel the barbed wire rip into his skin through his uniform. Oh, no. He didn't think he was getting out of this one so easily. The battle at least seemed to be over. Both Freestar and UC bodies alike littered the fields of no man's land and too many bodies of his fellow highlanders for his liking but numbered just the same Freestar soldiers. He had a little time to access his situation. Taking a look over himself he felt fortunate to have his limbs still intact, but as his gaze traveled down his left arm, he noticed he was missing a couple fingers, steady stream of blood flowing still. It only made him try to escape once more, but the wire just cut deeper into him, tangled worse around him. He wasn't getting out of this on his own. Lowering his head in defeat he realized how woozy he felt all of a sudden, his hair wet with muddy water and blood falling into his eyes like messy black yarn made him feel like a twisted sort of scarecrow, all trussed up in barbed wire.

"Anger is better than despair, Captain." It may not exactly be the most comforting, but it was the only word of advice that he could offer in this situation. It was a human choice that had to be made. He began to look around the ship for what he could find to perhaps do some repairs. A lot had been pulled out of the ship, probably floated far off by now, but there were a lot of panels he could remove to try to repair the hole at the very least. It would expose some wiring and the like but that was something that would not be an immediate problem. Nobody would be fumbling around back here anyways and that hole needed sealing. He moved off in search of any crates that might have been tied down to strip of their metal siding and the torch so he could get to welding... and perhaps he could weld the vents shut while he was at it. Keep them trapped inside as long as possible. Fortunately the torch was locked up safe. If they had lost that their situation would have been far worse than it was now.
"I can't make that decision for you, Captain." He didn't know what the best choice for them would be. He only knew that they needed to exercise extreme caution due to the creature being pregnant and more than likely laying eggs in those vents.
It was quite intelligent to his knowledge and he was certain that it had managed to find a way to survive. Nothing was more important than offspring to any species and it would do whatever it took to persevere them. He supposed that they may be able to contact the UC and have precautions put in place to land in quarantine, because the UC wanted the creature and they wanted it badly. For what he did not know, but he feared it may not be good. And a pregnant creature at that? He didn't think that there were any truly good answers here. "The UC would undoubtedly sell an arm and a leg to get that creature. Perhaps you ought to contact them for aid."

He'd just leaned in to take the sample when the collision happened, sending him arse over end. It took a moment for his sensors to adjust to the fact that he was very much upside down, most of his weight on his shoulders and neck -which would likely have broken any human neck- and he had to tilt his head to take in the scene before him. He stared at the very open cage door and the very missing creature before inhaling sharply. "Oh dear. David is going to be very upset with me." He managed to right himself after some effort and then carefully began to search through the cargo. "Where've you gone?"
"Protecting humanity is my primary directive. I'll always look out for you, Captain." He turned towards the med kit to gather the things he would need to take the blood sample and get it analyzed. The creature didn't exactly look thrilled to be locked away and even less thrilled when it took a prick from the syringe, but he made it as quick and painless as possible for it before taking the sample to the lab. Now he would see what properties he could recognize in the blood of the creature and if the UC was telling the truth about what it could do.
