to the people in this fandom trying to justify their fav’s crimes. shut up. the characters are not completely good people, but that’s what’s fun about them. morally gray characters will always exist in bungou stray dogs and that’s what’s great about it. the characters are more human. they’re not completely perfect, they’re not cartoonishly villainous. sigma, atsushi, and poe aren’t perfect cinnamon roll uwu boys. sigma’s a terrorist, atsushi has committed some crimes, poe plotted to a kill a man for YEARS and knows how to use a sniper rifle. fukuchi and mori aren’t truly evil. they have their pasts and reasons, but that doesn’t mean their actions are justified. please tell me if i got anything wrong. i hope both sides of your pillow are cold. :3

Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! Chapter 172: Find It! Strongest Military Police Force

Disclaimer: This is my first time translating and I don't really know japanese so there can be some translation mistakes but I was really pissed that there was no eng translation for this chapter so i just decided to do it myself. I used hundreds of different translators to get this as accurate as possible (don't ask how much time it took me😀) but anyway here it is. I can just see the Agency celebrating and Minoura showing up like “hate to crash your party. But he’s coming with us.” Everyone fighting back until Kunikida turns himself in.

Fukuchi smuggling a coffin into the airport. Honestly any scene of him smuggling around Bram without anyone realising.

The conversation between Mori and the Agency after the boat fight. Fukuzawa learning who betrayed Ranpo and Atsushi. Atsushi in Akutagawa’s coat explaining what happened.

Two scenes from when Atsushi spent 2 weeks homeless. One from when he was human and one from when he was a tiger.

The first time someone woke up a sleeping Kenji. Since 55 minutes tell us that Kenji is terrifying to wake up.

Also their last fight ist stunningly staged.

I’ve never thought that these two old uncles can become my favourite characters.

Not gonna lie, he would be a shit alpha. He would def put the world before you and go on whatever shitty mission hes been assigned even during your heat/rut. Hes not heartless, so he prob informed you of this before you started the relationship but you decided it was worth it somehow. Of course, he's gonna be really upset about it and feel like a failure of an alpha for a really long time bc he couldn't even be there for his mate. Not just heats too, but in general, because hes working in the military, there's not a lot of fixed hours and most of it based on the situation, he can easily be away for months on end.

Next, you have the injuries. They have their monthly surgeries, and they are so prone to injuries because have you seen them fight???? They disregard their body completely in order to win a fight. Truth is you probably spent more time next to his unconscious body in the hospital than with a healthy him. If you're the really homely care giving type then good luck because you have got your work cut out for you. Especially since you can't just look after him, but also the rest of the doggos since they literally come as a pack, and chances are, if you become his mate, they probably would become your cubs.

Lastly, you have the gel. Yea. You can tell I hate his hairstyle. In the A/B/O universe we're really into scenting but well guess what. With the crazy amount of gel he must use on the daily basis, i wonder if you can even smell him over all that gel. You probably have to have your head in the crook of his neck right where the scent gland is in order to be able smell his scent. However, that also means that you're closer to his hair and chances are, the smell of his stupid gel will overpower his actual scent. Well, I hope you like the smell of hair gel because its going to haunt you in your sleep.

Anyways in conclusion, you probably have to support him in his job in order for the relationship to function well, since it is a really big part of him. However, this means you often spend very little time with him. The dogs come as a pack so if you do end up becoming his mate, you WILL have to take the rest of them too, no matter how…concerning some of them might be. Oh yea and then the gel. Good luck with that. Thats all I can say. However I do think the hardest part of this is actually getting into the relationship. I think he is the type to feel unlovable or undeserving of love because of what he experienced. His very demanding job might also make him hesitate when getting into a relationship. During the relationship he would probably feel really guilty and insecure of himself for all the shit he has to do and well, you will have to reassure him, make sure he knows that you love him. Some people (me) will question if hes worth it, but you know that he is!

Due to the war and suffering hes seen, he can be the sweetest most caring alpha ever because hes so afraid he'd lose you too. That's probably one of the reason he takes his job so seriously too, a better future for you. If you can convince him to focus on the present and spend more time with you instead of a future that might never come for him, be prepared for a very domestic and maybe just a lil needy alpha. The Bsd "Fyodor is Atsushi's Father" Theory:

My Not-so-Deep, Not-so-Serious Explanation on Why This Could Totally be Canon

So... with Chapter 118 in bsd releasing, I have noticed a lot of Fyodor as Atsushi's father related things popping up and... I'm not mad about.

If anything, I'm happy the theory is getting more attention. People even seem to be taking it as canon fact, even if just jokingly.

Really, I believed the theory was plausible since it first was brought up in the fandom, but I never actually thought it would be canon because that just seemed too crazy. But those were the thoughts of a sweet summer child since the manga has gotten to the point where that might be the least crazy thing possible.

So, here I am at my keyboard yet again, ready to ramble about how, if this does somehow turn out to be canon, this might be actually rather predictable even to those who don't dive deep into the nitty-gritty lore.

Now, I won't ramble on and on endlessly about the book and Atsushi's ambiguous past and how he may be the book or a page from the book and yaddy-yadda. Instead, I'll focus on some key aspects of Atsushi's character design. First off...

His hair.

As I said, this is not all that serious or deep, so take my words with a grain of salt before you start bashing me or something for being ridiculous. You signed up for ridiculous when you started reading past the title.

Anyway, back to Atsushi's hair.

As we almost all know, Atsushi used to have a black streak in his hair that was later removed for unknown reasons, but he also has white hair.

Now, I could jokingly proclaim, "Hehe, biologically impossible Fyodor x Nikolai lovechild," and be done with it, but I am no clown, unlike Nikolai. No, I have a better, probably completely wrong, idea.

Most of us know that Fyodor has a thing for white-haired men.

Exhibit A: Every fucking member of the Decay of Angels

I rest my case.

Also, I feel the need to mention that 3 out of 6 of them have red-ish eyes while the other two have purple-ish/blue eyes. Just pointing out that little tidbit I noticed while finding pics for them.

So, it would make sense for Fyodor to pick and choose which attributes to give to his quote-on-quote "son" when he made him from the book, picking out certain traits he found appealing and pleasing to the eye.

(Also, yes, this could mean that Fyodor could have chose specific attributes that were similar to Nikolai. Boom, lovechild route.)

This could explain certain similarities between the characters who seemingly have no biological connection between one another. Their only connection then only being through Fyodor by just knowing him.

Got all that? Alright, next up...

His eyes.

Now, Atsushi's eyes are rather unique, even for the world of Bungou Stray Dogs. What also sticks out about them is the fact that they are pointed out and focused in from time to time.

Example:

To break down the colors of his eyes... While in normal lighting in the anime, they appear to be normally purple and yellow with just a hint of green in it, but under the full moon (as seen here) we can see that his eyes are a light green-yellow at the bottom and purple on the top that fades into blue.

(There are also a few times where his eyes also change while using his ability. Like when they turn almost fully yellow.)

I want to point out the colors of his eyes and the fact that they change due to certain circumstances (i.e: using his ability, being under the full moon), which is clearly not normal in their world seeing as how other ability users don't seem to do that at all.

(Edit here: I actually would like to mention that, in the manga, Nikolai's eyes also change color. The green one sometimes will change to match his normal eye whenever he uncovers it. I saw a theory talking about how it might change depending on whether or not he is lying at the time, which is pretty neat. More Atsushi and Nikolai parallels.)

Now, this might seem like a bit of a stretch just like the rest of this post, but the colors used for his eyes are similar to the eye colors of people Fyodor knows, though they are different shades.

Purple like Fukuchi. Green and blue from Nikolai.

Fyodor's eyes are also a shade of purple, kind of, so... Yeah, that works too, but Fukuchi's shade of eyes are closer to Atsushi's.

Yeah, that's all I can think of now and this is already way too long (if I start talking about Atsushi's mysterious past, I'm going to make this a mile long. Maybe later tho), so I'm ending it here for now.
