Your gateway to endless inspiration
I grew up doing art most of my life, and as an adult trying to make it a career in some way, there's definitely a mental difference between it being a hobby and it being a career.
Example; you learn more if you make it into a career. You learn what you want to do if you're a hobbyist. You have to learn how to make your work productive and study a bunch of different things to become a well rounded artist. Anatomy, colors, environments, different styles, how to make layouts, how to frame things, how to master whatever you specialize in. It is so different from just doing art because you want to but I also adore it so much it's worth the difficulty. I've wanted to be a professional artist since I was a kid and I'm not going to give up on a childhood dream because it's difficult.
