Tryna figure out an appropriate design for these schmucks

Below are the ramblings since I wanted to lore drop. There’s implications of murder,kidnapping and a mention of malpractice in science

These two are an attempted overhaul of old OCs I made when I was 6-8(?) and were used as an edgy power fantasy and for music videos I imagined in my head.

In this overhaul I’m toning down the edge but I envision it’ll still be there. The overall outline is that these were two kids from an important family line which due to not-good-parenting [I phrase it this way cause I imagine the parents are good people but not good parents] ended only being each other’s true friend which caused them to enable their awful trait, these awful traits being Atropa’s immatureness and Snowdrop’s manipulation towards other people

The two grew up to be scientists in their super-powered world and chose to focus on that. Atropa quite likes experimentation so he splits his focus between the experimentation of powers and his side project, figuring out a way to do necromancy . Snowdrop didn’t enjoy the process and thought of it as more of a chore but he also had his own side project: Figuring out how to make pocket dimensions

Eventually Atropa and his little brother found out powers could be genetically modified to be other powers and could be injected into other people, best part is that since it’s genetic, those altered powers are hereditary! However they used horrific methods to find out that information; fortunately for everyone else, the cops found out and they got arrested, unfortunately for everyone else, Snowdrop and Atropa figured out how to do their little projects and made their escape using both of those experiments

They decided that they are the only people they ever need, they both accepted their awful qualities and made each better at being awful to other people affectively. For the rest of their lives they live in the pocket dimensions doing self-serving things whilst their army of dead people do the things they don’t wanna do (Cooking,cleaning,building,being test subjects, and more)

Explanation for their appearances: Ever since childhood, Atropa has always been stuck in head with his vivid imagination of fictional characters and worlds, one particular OC stood out,his first self-insert character, it’s been updated over the years but that doesn’t stop him from associating himself with that character. In the pocket dimension, he thought of body modification science so he could be his “true self”. One day that became possible, and so he transferred his consciousness to a modified body of some unsuspecting child that looks like his “true self” and even has the powers of his imagined self

For Snowdrop: He’s a shapeshifter whom makes himself look like an innocent child so he could trick people. I envision he has “angel” imagery for irony’s sakes and some sort of ice powers but I still haven’t found a justification as to why

the creator: pretty much god (and friends with the second guy who wants to destroy the world he created, WHY ARE THEY FRIENDS)

Ari: created to be a weapon by the third guy and also hates all of them for ruining his life

AND WITH THE POWER OF ENEMYSHIP, THEY SOMEHOW DONT ALL DIE WITHIN THE FIRST SECTION SURPRISINGLY

Illustrator and 🙈?

Illustrator is actually a self insert, so this is fun lol, but some of this is obviously made up for superhero stuff and to shield my secret identity lol. The side of them that is nice because it gets people to like and trust them more. If they appeal to others egos, they can get any information out of anyone. Also, they are very very protective of their loved ones. This is the person who canonically drops a building on people because they kidnapped their brother. DO NOT MESS WITH THEM. They don't want people to know they are psycho no one can know the truth.

☄️ for Ciya?

People often assume Xiya isn't smart because of the dumb blonde cheerleading stereotype, but that couldn't be further from the truth. She is my spiderverse original character, so obviously she is a brilliant chemist. Also people assume just because she is a cheer leader she is fearless, but that isn't true either, she actually quit cheer leading after she got bit, and is very shy, traumatized and insecure. One of the only things that is assumed about her at first glace that ends up being true is yes she is clingy and yes she and Faye are dating @bitter-goodbyes

Maybe 🔫 for Gia?

Gia is a part of an apocalyptic AU i made, and she is a siren much like Lani. I'm thinking of adding her to my main au as well, but the apocalyptic au thing is important. In the apocalyptic au, there is this mist that is mixed into the air and quickly spreads all over the country. The mist brings certain DNA to the forefront, for example if you are human but had fairy ancestors/ fairy DNA, if you came in contact with the mist, you are now a fairy. IK that sounds kinda stupid but thats how it works, trust me. Anyway, because of this, Gia, who is a Goby siren (basically different sirens are based off of different types of fish/ sea life, and Gia's is the Goby fish, which is paired with Sarah, who is a Pistol Shrimp siren, look up the symbiotic relationship, it's cool) is hunted down by the government along with the other alters (people whose DNA was altered) because they want to experiment on them. Gia therefore can't trust anyone who isn't an alter, and is quick to turn on who she sees as a threat. However, she is still a 14 year old kid, and does tend to trust too easily. Her trust has been broken, and since she sees it as her duty to protect Sarah, her girlfriend who is now blind, she will be very quick to kill if you try and hurt Sarah. They had been backstabbed by their own family when they first turned, so she has sever trust issues.

🌠 and Amber?

Honestly, and this is kind of morbid, but for her family to be alive again. She got her powers when a bomb with a certain type of radiation compatible to her genes went off, killing everyone in the area (they were at a block party) except her. She constantly feels like it's her fault she survived, and even willingly gave herself up to be tested and experimented on because that's what she felt she deserved. That was her wish for a long time, but now she would probably wish for Lani to be happy and not burdened anymore. Sorry, if you expected a happy answer I apologize.

Arial's greatest wish isn't to get to the surface, although that might be part of it. Her real greatest wish is just to see her brothers have their greatest wishes fulfilled, to see them happy, hopeful, and alive. And may Asgore help you get in the way of that goal. She severely injured a kid because they stole Papyrus' scarf and gave him a black eye? Bone? whatever. Imagine what she will do to you. TLDR only thing she wants in life is to see her siblings actually genuinely happy. And to marry Val but that's more of a side goal

here you go @frostycausedaniceage! Why did you choose the most complicated one lol. I can’t go into as much detail as I would like because one of the major plot twists/ character development moments comes from family but ok here we go:

Maya’s dad José Hernandaz is an active duty Airforce soldier who was deployed to Afghanistan when she was 14. After he finished his two years (two more which would be spent in Afghanistan) he was supposed to retire. Maya turns 16, and with a month left of his tour, he is shot and killed. His death is actually what starts Maya’s whole story. Maya adored her father and his death really destroyed her mentally, but she slowly got over it with the help of her friends and family

Maya’s mom Isabella Hernadaz is a scientist working at Alchamax, an experimental research facility that focuses on finding cures for diseases, which the section Maya’s mom works at focusing on lung cancer. She is very kind and sweet, but also tough. She is the type of mom to tell you gently not to touch a hot stove, but if you try to touch it again after her warnings she will smack your hand with a spoon. She is often really busy because of her work hours, leaving Maya and her sister alone a lot, especially during the summer time, but tries to make time to play games. They have a family tradition of family game night on Fridays which Maya adores. She is really close to her mom and gets a lot of her morals from her

Lastly, we have Maya’s 5 year old sister, Lily. Maya adores Lily with every fiber of her being. Since she is left alone with her because of her mom’s job, she gets to spend a lot of time with her, which Maya doesn’t mind one bit. She is very sweet, energetic, thoughtful, and naive, and literally just pure joy incarnate. I love Lily so much, especially since she comes to Maya’s room a lot with lily flowers, saying “Now you can have me around at all times!” So pure I can’t lol. Maya has a great relationship with all of her family, but definitely favorite family member goes to Lily.

Ok, here goes a lore dump lol:

Arial is about 18, she likes to cook with Papyrus despite not liking to taste his food (She often gets food from Grillby’s cause she’s the only 1 with taste buds). She likes to go to Alphys’ lab tp hang out with her crush Val (Another half monster half human oc), in the Pacifist route if you befriend her (only pacifist routes in the past) she will appear and help you rescue sans and papyrus (blocking some attacks etc), if you’ve done a nonpacifist route in the past u will have to save her too (genocide mechanics do not apply to this battle tho), she does the following attacks during the pacifist fight; bones, knifes (regular knifes) , and blue soul magic like her brothers. During the genocide battle she does the following attack; Bones, knifes, soul magic etc. (type of magic is shown in gem on her sword | blue magic = normal blue magic stuff, orange magic + pale blue magic = normal magic stuff, yellow swords = similar to blaster attack, red knives = determination knives, which deal 1.5 more damage then the regular knives, kindness knife heals arial and shields her from the next attack if it hits you, it doesn’t damage you though it just helps arial, unless you hit the middle of the attack bar to which it will hurt her), Purple magic= strings like muffits but there are knives on the strings and you have to avoid them (Regular knives will cut the strings and give you less room to move as it gets smaller and smaller). During the genocide route, she will dodge like sans, but since she is less experienced your attacks will graze her, but not enough to kill her, she dies like sans when you hit her head on while she is exhausted, however she doesn’t fall asleep, more like knows you are going to kill her so she kneels down and cries apologizing to everyone she couldn’t avenge, and you have one last change to reset and spare her before you kill her and complete the genocide route (her fight takes place after you kill Asgore and Flowey). She also has this mechanic where if she kills you 15 times, on the fifteenth death she resets, and if you decide to start a genocide again, she will come into the ruins and kill you (Think of it as still part of the same run, kind of like in pacifist it divides into two sections, like that) and you won’t be able to befriend her again, as she will always glare at you, and fight you before you get to the lab, even though it isn’t to the extent of the genocide route fight. Her favorite food is chocolate and her favorite flower is buttercups (even though she never really knows why). She likes to bake and watch anime with Val, Alphys, and Undyne even though something deep inside her tells her it isn't human history. She hates puns, however she doesn’t let Sans know that as she will ask him to tell her some jokes whenever she sees he is feeling down. She has ADHD, PTSD, and Depression (although those last two are because of you and the resets, and the trauma they cause). She can teleport like sans, however she isn’t the best at it, so she always teleports under Sans supervision. She loves dogs and even brought one into the house. She named it Toby but eventually had to get rid of him when he chewed up Sans’ slippers and stole Sans’ leg. Ok now for a question I get asked a lot whenever I show this character and explain some of the lore why doesn’t she just reset whenever she knows Frisk is doing a genocide route, and why is she able to kill Frisk. The answer to the second question came from a random thought I had in my head which was, if other humans have a determination soul, then how can humans kill them? And the solution I came up with was that if a human kills another human, then their soul ability doesn’t function, and since Ariel is half human that counts. The answer to the first question is similar to why Flowey can’t reset when you join the underground, it’s because your determination is greater than his. Human determination beats Flowey’s determination, and since Flowey is pure determination, it beats Ariel's since she only has half determination.
