this doesn’t mean that you have to accept or agree with the idea - i’m just a scared little turtle that would like to know if that’s something that you wouldn’t mind so much
i wrote this on my rp blog, and now i'm writing it here:
if you don't reach out and plot or interact or say hi to people, you can't accuse them of having a clique. that's exactly like not applying for a job and then reacting when you notice other employees at the firm.
Having OCs is the best because all my headcanons for them are confirmed
"I'm afraid I can't answer that." Unfortunately, there were certain firewalls that he couldn't always breach, and this happened to be one of them. He personally suspected it was a 50/50 chance if he was honest, but he wasn't allowed to say that even if he would like to. It was possible he could do his own pre-emptive studies on the creature. Non-invasive. All he would need was a little blood sample and he could do a little research of his own.
"Ah, sorry, Captain. According to protocol the only response I'm allowed is, 'of course you can trust your government'." His face was blank, but he still sighed. He of course knew exactly what they might do with such a creature. Perhaps they were being honest, but it was hard to say. He had worked with the Xeno Science division before they had tossed him out insisting that he was a 'malfunctioning' piece of equipment when he questioned the ethics. It was how he had managed to get bounced around so much from place to place. "I'll keep an eye on the creature until then." He may not be able to do much when the UC got it, but for the time being he could keep it secure.

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lolita." Although at the mention of another android he grew curious, because he had not met many others of his kind. Synthetics were fairly secrete to the general population. He also found himself curious at this time capsule that she mentioned. He didn't have any knowledge of such a thing, but the galaxy was a very big place and humanity did not know everything that existed out there. It would be arrogant to assume they did. "I'm uncertain. Conventional medicine has failed me and I've been unable to help them." He looked over this so called time capsule, this Lolita and attempted to process and understand what he was looking at. No scans he made revealed any information that made sense to him. "I should like to preserve as much life as possible. I'm afraid I won't allow your Captain leave until he's tested and cleared."
He observed this oddity before him from beneath his hood. He'd been many places in the galaxy, but this... this he did not know quite what to make of other than the fact that it was something alien to him. But that was besides the point. He had come here for more important matters. "My designation is C.A.Z." Brushing his rain dotted hood back he folded his hands together in front of himself. "I detected an anomaly and feared someone had landed so I came to warn your Captain that this is a quarantined planet. An illness has spread amongst the people here."
"No flesh. No bone. Just a simple algorithm." He didn't quite comprehend why she was trying to insist that he was anything close to human. It was curious he supposed how humans liked to assign meaning to things. He had to wonder why they felt that everything needed to have some kind of a meaning. Sometimes things just were. Or they just happened. It didn't have to mean something. Didn't have to mean anything at all. "Imprinting. I suppose you could compare humans to a simple duckling in some cases."
